These terms and conditions apply to all tickets issued for screenings at The Grosvenor Picture Theatre and are designed to ensure that we provide an enjoyable cinema experience to all customers. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
To provide the best cinema experience possible, we ask that all mobile phones and other electronic devices are switched off during screenings.
Latecomers can spoil the enjoyment of others and are admitted only at the discretion of the management. The management also reserve the right to refuse entry to any member of the public or ask any member of the public to leave a screening, for instance due to anti-social behaviour or other inappropriate conduct, suspected involvement in piracy or when the individual cannot verify their age for the purposes of complying with film age restrictions. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
As piracy is a serious criminal offence, we reserve the right to carry out appropriate checks to ensure it does not take place in our cinemas. We will pass any information about piracy or suspected piracy to the relevant authorities.
For the security and wellbeing of all customers, we reserve the right to carry out searches of customers entering the premises (including bag searches). We may refuse entry to any customer who does not allow a search to be carried out.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to your belongings while they are on the premises. Although we operate a “lost and found” facility, we advise you to look after your belongings.
Assistance dogs are welcome at all times but other animals are only permitted to attend designated screenings. If you are in any doubt about whether a screening is animal-friendly, please ask before booking.
We can swap booked tickets before they have been collected at front desk for tickets of the same price at a future date if needed.
We reserve the right to ask for proof of ID when tickets are collected. Depending on BBFC classification patrons may be asked to provide proof of age. For security reasons, when payment has been made in advance by credit or debit card then the same card must be presented when tickets are collected.
We are under no obligation to replace lost or stolen tickets.
Ticket price and availability information is subject to change without notice. Any booking fees will be shown during the booking process. We do our best to avoid pricing errors but if a ticket is incorrectly priced by us and the error is obvious and reasonably recognisable as a pricing error then we are not bound by it, even if you complete a purchase of the ticket at the incorrect price.
The purchase of a ticket gives you access to the named screening at the stated time and date and, in cases where seating is reserved, to the seat number shown on the ticket.
You must not resell or offer for resale any tickets (whether at face value or another price) or use tickets for advertising or promotions or for any other trade purposes. If you resell or offer for resale any tickets, we reserve the right to invalidate them and no refund will be given.
We will always try to ensure that performances take place in accordance with the advertised programme. However, we reserve the right to cancel or vary the times of performances, or substitute an alternative film, or substitute a 2D screening for an enhanced screening (or vice versa), if this becomes necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
Children who are not accompanied by an adult may be refused entry to certain screenings where required by local licensing laws, which are outwith our control.
Please note there is a £7 contribution for mainstream films and £5 for films no longer on general release as part of your ticket.
Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or amend bookings once tickets are booked, so we recommend that you check the details of your booking before confirming it.”

We do not limit our liability by law to you for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or breach of duty. We do not limit or exclude any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
